9 day tour of Morocco

My wife and I spent several weeks researching and communicating with many different companies for our 9 day tour of Morocco. It was apparent after the first email to Wild Desert Of Morocco that this company was special. Jennifer and Ali provided detailed responses, answering all of our questions completely. They customized the exact vacation we were looking for, which was a mixture of our own hotel/restaurant/activity selections along with their excellent recommendations.
In just 9 days we were able to experience the bustling streets of Marrakech, the stunning architecture of Ait Ben Haddou, the astounding beauty of the Saharan sand dunes, the winding streets of Fes, the blue city of Chefchaouen, and so much in between. As Americans who travel frequently, we were most surprised by the incredible value of this vacation. We had a fully customized itinerary with a private driver/guide for less than the cost of any of the large group tours we have done in other countries. Moreover, we traversed Morocco in absolute comfort, riding in a clean, air conditioned, leather appointed, late model Land Cruiser Prado.
What truly set this trip apart, however, was the people. From the nomadic desert dwellers to the cosmopolitan Riad staff, everyone in the Moroccan hospitality industry delivered a level of service we have never experienced before. But it was our guide and driver, Ali, who really blew us away. He is simply an amazing host and a fascinating person. A true berber nomad whose sheer will and ambition brought him from shepherding camels to owning his own travel company, learning how to drive a car and speak more than 4 languages along the way. We have never met a more accommodating, humble, and generous human being. He did so much more than complete the many items on our itinerary. He spent hours helping us shop and hunt down souvenirs in the souks. He personally led us on numerous hikes to the best vistas of our locations. Beyond driving us across the entire country, he happily gave us rides to anywhere we wanted to go; no taxis necessary. Ali redefines what it means to go above and beyond for his clients.
We could go on like this for hours, but suffice it to say our Morocco vacation was probably the best trip of our lives. It was an absolute feast for the senses in which we constantly experienced new sights, sounds, and flavors. It was truly one jaw dropping moment after another. Thank you, Wild Desert of Morocco for an unforgettable experience. We will be back soon with the whole family, God willing.
